Here’s a little something from Lauren Pierce, who teaches bowing and thumb position among other bass techniques on Discover Double Bass, a website with all kinds of lessons for double bass (upright bass/string bass/doghouse bass). She is also a very good teacher. Her lessons are clear and concise. She gives little tips on details that only experience can know. And, Lauren makes learning fun. She shows an absolute love for the instrument and her joy shows in her playing.
